Vantage Commercial appointed as exclusive listing broker for Camden Library Redevelopment Project at 418 Federal Street, Camden, NJ! 

Vantage Commercial has been appointed as the exclusive listing broker for the Camden Library Redevelopment Project, a +/- 25,000 SF Class A office and retail redevelopment project located at the existing Camden Public Library building at 418 Federal Street, Camden, NJ.  The property is located in the heart of Camden and is in close proximity to Camden City Hall, Camden County Judicial Complex, Cooper University, and Rutgers Nursing School.

The historic building, which has been abandoned since 2011, will be converted into a Class A office facility when it opens in Q1 or Q2 2022. The ground floor of the building will include a +/-3,200 square foot restaurant with a grand entrance boasting 26 foot ceilings. The building will also include office spaces ranging from +/-1,200 SF to +/-7,000 SF and a +/-2,800 SF retail space.

The building was built in 1901 and designed by Thomas Stephen, a famous Camden architect. The Beaux Arts style building served as the home to South Jersey Gas Electric, and Traction Office Company until it was sold to the City of Camden in the early 1980s. The building served as the main branch of the Camden Free Public Library from 1987 until 2011 when it closed. In 2017, Millennial Partners, LLC was designated as the property’s developer.
