Vantage Commercial Secures New Location for Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia
Vantage Commercial announces large-scale long-term lease For Goodwill Industries in Hamilton Plaza shopping center on Route 33 in Hamilton Township, NJ!
Vantage Commercial announces another large-scale retail lease in Hamilton Township, NJ. As the exclusive leasing representative for Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia, Leor Hemo, President and Chief Executive of Vantage Commercial, worked closely with Michael Shaw, their COO, to secure a long-term lease of a +/- 20,400 SF store that will accommodate Goodwill’s rapid expansion and growth in the region. The new store, located within the Hamilton Plaza shopping center on NJ Highway Route 33 in Hamilton Township, joins a diverse roster of co-tenants including Shoprite, Petco, Dollar Tree, Texas Roadhouse, T-Mobile and other national retailers.
Hemo worked closely with Sidney Singer and Ed Vasconcellos III of Levin Management Corporation (LMC), Hamilton Plaza’s exclusive leasing and managing agent, to secure the lease. Goodwill’s high volume of sales coupled with a growing demand for stores in higher demographic regions, necessitated the need for this location.
Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia is a non-profit, community-based organization. Its mission is to provide job training and career services that help prepare individuals with disabilities and disadvantages for competitive employment in the community. Included in this mission is Goodwill’s Helms Academy, which offers a tuition-free opportunity for adults 18 and over to earn their high school diploma. The large-scale collection and resale of donated items in Goodwill’s retail stores fund these important programs while contributing to the region’s recycling efforts.
“We are confident that Michael Shaw and Goodwill Industries will be very successful in Hamilton Township. They are excited to enter this new market and to continue to grow. We are happy that we were able to locate the right retail space to help them accomplish their goals,” Hemo stated.
Goodwill will occupy the former A.C. Moore space Hamilton Plaza. The 175,500-square-foot shopping center sits at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 33 and Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road.
“Hamilton Plaza has long been a premier local shopping and dining destination,” said Vasconcellos. “Tenants are drawn here by the accessible location and strong mix of retailers, restaurants and service providers. For Goodwill, the availability of a ‘retail-ready’ space made the opportunity even more attractive. The Goodwill Store not only will be a great new shopping option for the Hamilton-area community – it will provide an opportunity for community members to support a worthy charitable organization. Special thanks to Leor Hemo, of Vantage Commercial, who represented the Tenant, and Sid Singer, VP of Leasing at Levin Management. Their hard work and commitment brought this transaction together. It was our pleasure to work with Vantage Commercial!”
