Towne Center at Short Hills Prepares to Rebound Following a Recent Fire
The Towne Center at Short Hills, (480-484 Evesham Road, Cherry Hill, NJ) is gearing up for a large redevelopment project after suffering a devastating fire in March 2020.
As noted in a recent article by the Courier Post, the Starbucks Coffee Company is planning to reopen in the complex. Starbucks will be offering drive-thru capabilities at this location, pending a review by the Cherry Hill Zoning/Planning Board next week.
Leor Hemo, President and Chief Executive at Vantage Commercial, recently told the Courier Post, “Starbucks is generally only interested in new sites with drive-thru capabilities. With the rise of contactless ordering and curbside pick-up, socially distanced options such as drive-thru windows have almost become more of a requirement for many quick casual dining establishments than a luxury.”
Starbucks will join many other tenants as part of a +/- 10,500 SF retail building to be constructed this year. There is currently no confirmation on when construction will begin or the duration of the project.
